To Ting Ting or not to Ting Ting?

I recently read this review in 'Vice' magasine of the much anticipated Ting Ting's album, 'We Started Nothing'.

'Is it indie? Electro? Or some thrilling combination of the two? Beats me, but this looks like a fit bird and a gormless nerd clinging to the tatters of their dignity as they prostrate themselves before T4 and Topshop in the hope their record label picks up the option on the second album. Their songs slide off the brain like cold sick off a warm plate'

Although this is brilliant journalism, I can't help but disagree. What the songs lack lyrically is made up for with good music and the fact their strongs are well structured. All I can say is that their producer is tallented. They must be balls live though, as Katie plays guitar and Jules plays drums.. where's the funky basslines heard in 'Shut Up and Let Me Go', their next single?
Anyway, you should have a listen to 'Shut up and Let Me Go' because it makes you want to dance. The lyrics are terrible but if you don't focus on them, the song is tollerable. It's released some time soon. Coming to a stereo near you soon, prepare to have this record 'slide off the brain like cold sick off a warm plate', it will be only the lyrics sliding off mine.
